Smith is a designer and member of the Digital Design team at The New York Times. He creates engaging, interactive experiences to shape how content is consumed online.

Smith has over ten years experience working on a wide range of projects including branded identities, editorial publications, social strategies and digital platforms. Prior to joining NYTimes, he served as Art Director at the interactive agency Code and Theory, where he led projects for The Qatar Foundation, Univision and Vogue, among others. His brand work with TBWA\Chiat\Day and Cutwater in San Francisco won numerous awards including Cannes Lions, Clios, and One Show Pencils for adidas and Ray-Ban. His personal work has been published by Print Magazine.

In 2011, Smith co-founded the psych-garage band the Dull Edges, where he plays bass. He loves exploring new places and travels whenever he can. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, dog and cat.
